The airline industry in India has been growing over the last couple of decades
with recent years witnessing a birth of many new Indian air-carriers to cater to
both the International as well as the Indian segment of travel. This expansion
that the industry is facing has led to the creation of many jobs. Such jobs may
lie in the area of flight crew or ground crew.
Ground crew are entrusted
with many responsibilities and though many of these such as check-in work can be
achieved only on site at the airport, other air line jobs like aviation sales
jobs or jobs in the flight bookings, reservations and information departments
can be done at any other venue as well. Like with any company that allows
work-from-home opportunities, airline companies stand to gain by introducing the
concept as well. For instance in the case of work at home airline reservation
jobs, one of the advantages that airlines would benefit from is that they would
now have a greater choice of applicants to choose from and hence employ the ones
that are truly best-suited for the job. Here, the main points of consideration -
aside from educational qualifications - would be the candidates' fluency in
English, Hindi and Marathi or Gujarati as well as his or her courteousness and
vocal clarity.
Aside from being polite however - airline crew, including
employees who work for airlines but do so from their own homes or from different
venues - must also display the ability to be firm while dealing with troublesome
passengers.
